"Pulling a Rope" - animation practice / pencil test

A pencil test for an animation practice of a pulling rope action. I work first the character action. ( in a second stage I will animate the rope - more easy to put the follow through and overlapping motion of the rope)

I Added the rope animation. I used the character body motion as a reference for the rope follow through and overlapping motion.

Working a bit in the whole design and incorporating the idea of hover.
In the option A, I managed multiple arms, and in the B option a more bulky god with multiple legs like a centipede.
I need to push more the concept and do the final design ... time goes fast!

A initial sketch for a layout of Elmer Fudd´s bedroom on Loony Tunes style.
Using a forced (fish eye) perspective. This type of perspective was used on 2D traditional animation to simulate a 180° rotation in a room, creating the illusion of a 3D room ... The technics of 2D traditional layouts and backgrounds are simply awesome fantastics.

A new challenge from Computer Graphics Society. The theme of the challenge is to create a concept based on B-Movies; "Since the dawn of movies there was always a creepier, scarier, and unintentionally funnier cousin to the big budget blockbusters... the B-Grade Movie.

Cinema screens around the world flickered with startling images of wolfmen, zombies, nuclear-mutated monsters, and bug-eyed aliens with a penchant for probing. The 25th CGChallenge: "Attack of the 50ft CGChallenge" asks you, the artist, to bring these gems back to life, or create your own in their spirit ...."

This is my first concept.

My first idea is based on mexican "Luchadores" films.
This type of movies were really popular on the 60's and 70's in Mexico.

Such films were heavily influenced by horror films and the American B movies and the hero was a Mexican wrestling idol of the moment, to ensure box office success. The films were awful, but very funny, reflecting all the folklore of Mexican wrestling at the time. I have great memories of these movies, usually filmed in black and white, where the mad scientist's laboratory was always in dark dungeons, and scientific equipment was lined with aluminum foil and filled with colored lights without ever missing reels of tape.

That's my idea, create a funny image where a masked wrestler fight against demonic forces invoked by vampire women, which are allied with invaders from outer space and all led by a deranged scientist who loves to dig up corpses to form an army of undead.

The hero in his titanic battle will be accompanied by the inevitable and beautiful damsel in distress. Also for the funny and giddy guy, indispensable companion of the hero, and the cop who always asks for help to the indomitable masked wrestler

I’m wanted to make some animations based on a feline style character. I’m start studying a running cycles. My reference was a cheetah running cycle, because that it is the extreme of the running cats. The cheetah is a really an amazing and powerful runner.

Here are some of my first thumbnails rough sketches studies. I am trying to "brake" on the main key poses.

This is a rough animatic make it with the thumbnail sketches (don’t be hard with me hahahaha :D). I want to have an idea of the pace and motion of the running. The test was made at 1x on 24 fps and the running cycle on a spot. A full stride takes 11 frames, a bit less than a half of second. I think is a good timing for a big cat like a lion, tiger or a leopard (that is my intention for a feline character, a heavier cat). Maybe for a cheetah the full stride was made by 10 or 9 frames at 1x on 24 fps, to look more faster, like the cheetah
